Book Cover Design

You are unique, which means every project is unique, even if it’s a different cover within the same series. Your book cover is an investment, not just another thing to check off your list of things to do to get your book out there. It is the first thing everyone sees when they come across your book. It is essential you get it right! Keep this in mind when choosing a cover designer.
You want someone who will work with you one-on-one. You want someone who cares about you and your project. You want someone knowledgeable in the publishing industry, and someone who will help you every step of the way, if that’s what you need. If you’re seasoned in the industry, you already know how important a great cover is. I love working with new authors and seasoned authors alike.
I cultivate relationships with my clients.

Other Pricing
There are many factors that go into pricing a project. For instance, if you own your own finished artwork ready for printing (meaning no major changes will need to be made), and you would like me to do your typography, design, and layout, pricing may be lower. However, pricing could also be higher because working without outside artwork can sometimes be a lot more work than using artwork from my own sources. Many artists don’t do cover design, and are not familiar with bleed requirements, or spacing requirements for text, meaning those time-costly adjustments need to be made on my end. Another example of a possibly lower cost for you is a book redesign of a cover, where you want similar elements and concept, just a fresh update. Please contact me for a custom quote.
FREE minor revisions are included for LIFE after publication! This means if you need your back cover copy altered, a blurb added, an ISBN changed, a typo fixed, etc., those changes are always free.
Custom Artwork is included in my quote
Custom artwork is anything that I do for your cover that is above and beyond standard manipulation of stock photos/illustrations. It includes altering an image in a way that requires significant time and work. An example is if you want a character’s hair completely changed from brown and straight to curly and blonde. Another example would be vector artwork created from scratch, such as on the Stolen Enchantress or Veins of Gold covers (find in my portfolio).
I will sometimes hire out illustrators if what you want is something I’m unable to provide. This can significantly increase price.
Every project is different, so you will need to contact me for a quote. The quote I give you for your cover will include the cost of custom artwork, if that is what is anticipated. If we don’t anticipate custom artwork, but you end up wanting custom artwork for your cover, you and I can decide on a fair quote for that artwork and a separate charge will be added to your final bill.
The Fine Print
Discounts may apply to projects involving a series or similarly bundled packages. For example, if you have a three-book series you want designed, I charge full price for the first book, but much less for each additional book design within that series.
Custom artwork will accrue additional charges.
Rush fees may apply depending on your needs.
Pricing is not guaranteed from this page. Your individual quote may go up or down depending on your specific needs.
A 50% deposit is required once a project has been scheduled and agreed upon. Once the PayPal invoice has been paid, I will begin work on your project. Please contact me for specific Terms and Conditions.
