Revision Guidelines
Included Revisions
- Each project includes 2 rounds of revisions
- One round = one consolidated set of changes reviewed together
- Minor adjustments: typos, small text corrections, minor spacing issues
- All adjustments due to designer error are not charged
Additional Revision Pricing
- First 2 rounds of revisions included in base price. Revision round includes all changes requested at one time. Sending changes across multiple email threads/days may count as multiple rounds.
- Additional rounds: $75 per round for minor changes
- Extensive rework (requiring 1+ hours): $85/hour, minimum 1 hour
- After final approval, any changes: $85/hour, minimum 1 hour
- Changes requested after 30 days from last communication: treated as new project
- Changes requested after delivery of final files: treated as new project
When Additional Fees Apply
- Adding new content or significantly changing content after design has begun
- Changing trim size or page count significantly
- Platform changes requiring reformatting (e.g., switching from KDP to on offset printer)
- Color correction beyond standard POD setup
- Creating additional marketing materials not in original scope
- Upscaling or enhancing images
Payment Structure
Deposit
The deposit schedule is as follows:
$500 and under: $100 deposit
$500 – $2,500: ~25% deposit
$2,500 and up: ~50% deposit
Deposits are non-refundable, in order to secure my time and work put into preparing your initial designs, as well as the time we’ll spend in communicating about your project. Your deposit is applied toward your final amount.
Additional Notes
- Deposit required to begin work
- Balance due upon approval of final design
- If you cancel the project after cover concepts or initial interior files delivered, but before final approval: 75% of total fee due. If you cancel final approval of files but before delivery: 100% of total fee due.
- Prices assume print-ready, fully edited manuscript
- Complex formatting (indexes, footnotes, extensive tables) may affect pricing
- Understanding limitations of Print-on-Demand
- Timeline depends on prompt consolidation of revision requests
- All revisions must be submitted in writing
